Joseph French boasts over 30 years of experience in development, asset and property management, leasing, and investment sales. He has participated in the sales of more than 100 properties exceeding 10 million square feet in total, with a combined value surpassing $1 billion. Mr. French has demonstrated resilience across various market cycles, including navigating the challenges of the 90s downturn and handling transactions with the Revolution Trust Company.

His expertise has been recognized through publications in industry outlets such as Shopping Centers Today, GlobeSt.com, Retail Traffic, CCIM Magazine, and National Real Estate Investor. Additionally, he has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences.

French’s achievements include being named a 2008 Broker All-Star by GlobeSt.com and a Power Broker by CoStar in 2008, 2009, 2012, and 2014. He consistently ranked among SVN Top 10 Brokers and received multiple National Achievement Awards placing him among the top Marcus & Millichap brokers. He holds the coveted CCIM designation and is a licensed real estate broker in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

Prior to Marcus & Millichap, French held leadership positions as the National Director of Retail & Managing Director for Sperry Van Ness and the Northeast Regional Director for the Asset Recovery Team (SVN-ART). Previously, he served as Senior Vice President at The Hutensky Group, managing both investment sales and leasing departments. French also founded his own firm specializing in development, redevelopment, and leasing of urban retail projects. His career path further includes senior positions at renowned commercial real estate firms Landau & Heyman, Brandenberg Realty, and CS Brown Associates.
